They do a really fun Beer blast on Sundays. The Eagle on 28th between 10th and 11th, this is a very popular leather bar. Also a good happy hour crowd and crowded on weekends.īarracuda, on 22nd just east of 8th ave, very popular. G, on 19th between 7th and 8th, this is a prettier crowd, Trendier, more fashiony. There are a few fun bars there, Therapy, Vlaada and Posh, Not sure of any others but it's a good start.Ĭhelsea, West side, starting at Splash on 17th between 5th and 6th(not my favorite place but worth checking out, it's been around about 16 years and is a staple here)Ĩth ave in Chelsea has several bars, Gym Bar, this is a gay sports bar that attracts a jeans and t'shirt crowd. There are three areas that I would suggest(that are coming to me now) This isn't the area that most younger gays go out. However, the bars there tend to attract an older, IMHO, not very good looking crowd. Read the above link and you will see why this is an area to visit in terms of gay history. Stonewall was the site of the Stonewall riots the ignited the gay rights movement and gave birth to all of the gay pride festivals.

This is relevent in terms of gay history. was once the center of the gay scene here in NYC. The Dugout is located at the end of Christopher St. I would agree with the above poster about the Dugout. My opinion on this topic became an issue with another poster here several months ago, but here is goes.
